I have always loved Anya Brock since I stumbled across her vibrant artworks a few years ago now. A Perth girl originally, she has been diligently producing a high volume of awesome art in multiple forms.
I see her wall murals around town, in my old local suburb, in the middle of the city and hung proudly on the walls of her outlet in Fremantle.
Now I believe if you love an artists work you should buy their artwork, put your money where your mouth is right?
So last weekend after perusing her latest designs in her shop in Freo, I picked out three that I love, and some really cool porcelain coasters. I am really happy with my purchases and feel good knowing I have also financially chipped in to support one of my favourite artists.
I love her splurge of colour, her ruthless style, messy but articulate, drips of paint adding texture and style. I love the feminine portraits, moody, sullen, hopeful, determined, sexy, alluring, strong and capable.
I love her animals, every single one. Friendly, warm, loving and cute. I am particularly fond of her bird portraits, all the beautiful bright colours and simple styles now adorn my walls cheerfully.
I will continue to be an advocate for Anya Brock. I love to see a great artist become successful. It seems hard work and determination have carved her path, she is a power house of productivity. I hope she can find balance in her creative pursuits, and know that she is admired by many fans in Australia and abroad. The sky is the limit Anya!
Thanks for the inspiration and for showing me anything is possible; if you do what you love, and love what you do, you can generate an income from it! I wish you the very best in your future and hope you can keep producing amazing works of art.
P.S. I love your larger than life wall murals, they are fantastic!
Love Anita xx
